Katherine Troiano is a Montana native, born and raised in Missoula, Montana. After graduating from the University of Montana with a double major in English and Anthropology, she moved to Columbia Falls to embrace the adventures and natural beauty of the Flathead Valley. Katherine and her husband, Tony, are proud parents of two amazing children and enjoy the companionship of their beloved labs.
Katherine’s legal career began at a boutique law firm in Whitefish, where she quickly advanced from receptionist to paralegal. Her dedication to professional growth led her to attend the National Paralegal College, where she passed the Certified Paralegal examination and became a Certified Paralegal in 2016. Encouraged by a challenge from Brian Tanko, Katherine pursued her dream of becoming an attorney and was accepted into the Alexander Blewett III School of Law in 2021. She earned her Juris Doctorate in 2024 and successfully passed the Montana State Bar shortly thereafter.
With over a decade of legal experience, Katherine brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her clients. She has a particular passion for real estate law, a new are of practice she has introduced to Tanko Law Officer. Her addition to the firm has also allowed the firm to expand their offices into Columbia Falls, Montana, complementing its existing locations in Kalispell, Montana and Las Vegas, Nevada.
Outside of her professional life, Katherine enjoys exploring Montana’s breathtaking wilderness with her family. She is also an active volunteer with the Flathead Rapids program and local public schools.
